Terms of Service
Effective: May 11, 2026. Last updated: May 18, 2026.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GlacialBooks (“the Service”), operated by Fluent Terrain LLC as part of the FinArctic product family (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GlacialBooks is a cloud-based bookkeeping platform that provides transaction categorization, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, invoicing, and bill management. The Service is designed for individuals, small businesses, and enterprises.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscription and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We provide at least 30 calendar days' notice before a pricing change applies to an active paid subscription. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law, a duplicate charge occurred, or Fluent Terrain LLC confirms a billing error. Confirmed duplicate charges or billing errors are refunded within 10 business days.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to transmit malicious code, to attempt unauthorized access to our systems, or to interfere with the Service's operation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your financial data. You grant us a limited license to process and store your data to provide the Service, protect the Service, meet legal obligations, and preserve accounting audit evidence under the published retention schedule.
7. Account Deletion and Retention
Self-service account deletion has a fixed 30-calendar-day grace period and is normally completed within 31 calendar days of the request unless a documented legal hold applies. Financial records, accounting source evidence, and audit logs are retained for 7 years after organization closure or contract termination as described in the Data Retention and Deletion Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Fluent Terrain LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes are communicated by email or through the Service at least 15 calendar days before they take effect unless immediate changes are required for security, legal, or provider compliance reasons. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
